------- VERY COOL Football Outing!------

Thursday Night (October 23):  Classmate Harmon Wages has arranged with the coaches and principal at Lee High for us to come to the football game Thursday night as VIP guests -- and sit in a VIP section reserved just for us!  The Fighting Lee Generals (yay!) will take on the Columbia Tigers (boo!) from Lake City on the Lee campus!  This will be a blast!  Come to Jax a day early and enjoy this fantastic time travel adventure back to our fun days at Lee!  Even if you're not planning to make the other reunion festivities, don't miss this!  Classmates are suggesting we all wear the "Class of '64 uniform" -- a powder blue shirt!  Even more fun!  And Lee High T-shirts will be available for sale at the game.  Come early -- the coin toss is at 7:00, but Lee officials are asking that we be there at 6:00 for pre-game activities.
Harmon has also arranged with his friends at Channel 4 to cover the game -- and us!  Channel 4 has selected this game as their "Game of the week" -- and to be featured in the 11pm news after the game!
Ball-game fare will be available for purchase -- hot dogs, popcorn and soft drinks.
After the game, drop by the Mellow Mushroom at the Avondale Shopping Center (3611 St. Johns Ave.) for pizza, libations and old friends!

More cool stuff during the weekend:
Saturday daytime fun:  Libba Forbes McKinnon and her tireless Activities and Entertainment Team have researched, visited, and recommended the following activities (in addition to seeting up the Lee tour above).  You will be on your own time to visit as many as you want.  (PS - any and all additional suggestions are welcome and we would be happy to add yours to this list.  Please email your ideas to Libba at the address on the 'worker bees' page)

Riverside Arts Market:  This weekly market is highly recommended by the Activities Team as a don't-miss.  Art, crafts, food, fun and a glorious view.  715 Riverside Ave, located at the end of the Northbank Riverwalk, under the canopy of the Fuller Warren Bridge. The Market is a leisurely 15 minutes stroll from Downtown Jacksonville along the St. Johns River.  It is also just 100 yards north of The Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens, and is less than a 5-minute walk to both Memorial Park and Riverside Park.  904/389-2449  10:00AM – 4:00PM
