Cecil “Craig” Acree 73 of Jacksonville Florida passed away on January 27, 2020,
surrounded by his family. Craig was born November 30, 1946 to Cecil and Francis
(predeceased) Acree. He grew up in Jacksonville, Florida and was a 1964 graduate of
Robert E. Lee High School.

He served in the Army Reserves and was a proud veteran.

Craig was a devoted husband to his wife Kathy (Ballou) Acree for 32 years.
Caring brother to David Acree, Charles (Gaye) Acree, John Acree (predeceased).
Loving Dad to Doug (Korrin) Acree, Paul (Karen) Acree, Kevin (Leah) Acree. Step-Dad
to Wendy (Mac) McClellan, Chuck (Mechell ) Stiles, Jeff Stiles, and Kevin Davis.
Doting Papa to Channing (Paul), Josh (Pammy), Molly (Aaron), Alexandra (Kai), Noah,
Austin, Skyler, Madelyn (Jake), Cora, Gabriel, and Aria.
Adoring Great Papa to Arick, Michael, and Easton.
Craig was also an uncle, cousin, nephew and beloved friend to all.

Craig was a faithful member of Covenant Presbyterian Church and served as an Elder
and Treasurer for many years. Currently a member of Kirkwood Presbyterian Church
where he served faithfully and enjoyed singing in the choir.

Craig had a LOVE for the Florida Gators football team. He also enjoyed playing golf,
working outdoors, tending to fruit trees, music, loved his cats and being around family.
Craig worked in real estate for many years and recently worked as a custodian for
Orange Park Elementary School. The administration, staff, faculty, PFA and especially
the students became his extended family at the school.

A celebration of Craig’s life will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020 @ 10:00 a.m.

EASTER Justine Easter, age 61, of Middleburg, passed away Friday, April 20, 2007. She was born in Canton, NC and was a longtime Clay County resident. Mrs. Easter was a licensed cosmetologist and was employed by Belk's Department Store, Orange Park. She was also a member of The Moose, Middleburg. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Albert "Hap" Easter; 2 daughters, Tammera Barron (husband, Mark) & Cindy Maurer (husband, Tim) and 5 grandchildren, Trevis, Tristen, Tara, Heather & Shane. She will be very much missed by her friends and those who loved her.

Edward Chapman Atchley Sr. was called home on December 12, 2015 while surrounded by loving family and friends. His lifelong positive attitude and courage allowed for five happy years after a diagnosis of late-stage lung cancer. Eddie was born September 1, 1946 in Jacksonville, Florida. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was pre-deceased by his birth mother Frieda Rakis Chapman, adopted parents Fate and Athen (Rakis) Atchley, and brother G.L. Atchley. Survived by his loving bride of 49 years Evelyn, sons Edward Atchley Jr., Christopher Atchley (Nicole), sister Jan Atchley Bevan, grandchildren Katelyn, Tyson, Thomas, Adrienne, Amber and a large extended family of nieces, nephews and in-laws. Eddie had salt in his veins and an unmatched passion for fishing with friends and family. He never missed an opportunity to tell a good joke. He was a true University of Florida Gator fan. A Celebration of his Life will be held at 2:00pm Saturday December 19, 2015 at St Catherine's Episcopal Church, 4758 Shelby Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Catherine's Episcopal Church or to Wolfson Children's Hospital.

John Willis Ball, Jr, 68, died August 21, 2015. Born in Jacksonville to Margaret Anne and John Ball, Sr, he is survived by his wife, George Ann and by his daughter, Brooks Gallagher (Scott) son John Ball III, grandchildren Maggie, Coe and Davison Gallagher, Brother, Haywood Ball (Anne) and sister, Margaret Gates (Dennis), many nieces, nephews and cousins. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and The University of the South, Sewanee TN. John was a Gentleman, and a gentle man who will be missed by many. A funeral service will be held Thursday, August 27th at 2 PM at St. Marks Episcopal Church. Internment will occur at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association Lilburn, GA or to St. Marks Episcopal Church.

Jacksonville Memory Gardens BATES---Mr. James Earl “Jim” Bates, age 73 of Orange Park, FL passed away March 19, 2019. Jim was born February 25, 1946 in Jacksonville, FL, the son of Wilbur Bates and Katherine Richmond Bates.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Sue Bates; his daughters Kim Dumas (Dan), and Angie Harrell (Timmy); his son Chuck Bates (Kim); 7 grandchildren Jeff, Allan, Taryn, Tessa, Chase, Hayden, and Colin; also many other loving family members and friends. In addition to his parents, Jim was predeceased by his sister Mary Katherine Olson, and brother Bill Bates.

Jim was a dedicated phone company manager at Bellsouth/ATT/ Lucent Technologies - retiring from Lucent Technologies following 35 years of combined phone company service. He then worked his favorite job at Heritage Bank for 8 years. He is best remembered for the love and care he gave in raising his family, watching grandkids grow, fishing, golf and the outdoors. Jim was the go-to handyman who had the tools and know-how for almost anything. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services in celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday March 26, 2019 in the chapel of Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park. Family members and friends will gather on Monday evening from 5-7 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make memorial donations in his name to either Haven Hospice or to the Clay County Animal Shelter.

Connie L. Krawiec was born on June 14th, 1946 and passed away at home with her Family on February 22nd, 2021 at the age of 74. Connie was a beloved Mother, Sister, Nana and Great Nana with 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. During her life Connie raised her Son and Daughter on her own while working as a Personal Trainer and a Nanny throughout her career.
After retiring, Connie would foster and care for animals in her home and work with local shelters to help abandon and stray animals. Spending time with her children and grandchildren was always a priority and they all loved their Nana very much.

Connie was a Christian and made sure those around her knew about her faithfulness and love for God.

Connie was preceded in death by her beloved Son Eddie P. Krawiec III and her Mother Tommie R. Banks and Father Benjamin T. Shaw Jr.

Connie is survived by her Daughter Tommie J. Krawiec (Judd), Sister Penelope J. Patania (Tom), Granddaughters Amber S. Poche, Tehya R. Schermerhorn, Faryn B. Schermerhorn, Kadis E. Schermerhorn and Deia W. Schermerhorn and Grandsons Chase H. Krawiec, Brandon K. Schermerhorn and Destry Z. Schermerhorn and 10 Great Grandchildren.

A private service for the Family is planned to celebrate her life.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your local animal rescue in Connie's name.

John Cooper Bennett

John Cooper Bennett, also lovingly known as J.B. and Johnny Boy, passed away at age 74 in Atlantic Beach, FL, on July 27, 2020. He was born in Jacksonville, FL, on Jan. 19, 1946, graduated from Robert E. Lee High School, and was a member of the Lee basketball team.
As a young adolescent, John was diagnosed with diabetes and became a passionate advocate for diabetes awareness and research efforts. He was president of the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and volunteered to consult young, newly diagnosed diabetes patients. After a career spanning more than 40 years, John retired from working for his longtime friend Jennifer Duke and her family.
John liked to be near the water. When not in Jacksonville, he enjoyed fishing in the mountains of North Carolina and along the coasts of Anna Maria Island, Fla. He also enjoyed traveling, regaling stories, watching the Florida Gators and Jacksonville Jaguars, visiting with loved ones, and driving, whether it be a car, boat, or RV. Many knew John for his beaming smile, tall stature, and fun-loving nature — and for his kindness and generosity. John never knew a stranger.
John was preceded in death by his grandparents Nancy and Plant Osborne; father, William Wells "Bill" Bennett; mother, Nancy Osborne Bennett; and brother, William Wells Bennett, Jr. He is survived by his life partner, Mary King of Atlantic Beach, FL; brother, Roberts O. Bennett (Orinda Evans) of Atlanta, GA; sisters-in-law, Kathy King of Jacksonville, FL, and Joni Adno of Sarasota, FL; and brother-in-law, John King (Joy) of Neptune Beach, FL. He is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews: Wells Bennett (Debra, and their children Katerina and Reid) of Washington, D.C.; Ian Eckerson of Sarasota, FL; Elizabeth Bennett of Washington, D.C.; Kristen King (William Smith) of New York, NY; Mason King of Neptune Beach, FL; and Henry King of Neptune Beach, FL. Additionally, John leaves behind many cousins and dear friends whom he cherished.
A celebration of John's life will be planned for a future date to be determined.
