Patsy Horton

Patsy Hope Horton Fuller, born October 3, 1945, died on Saturday, November 14, 2009, after a courageous battle with cancer for eighteen months. She is survived by her loving husband Bill Fuller and her parents, Gene and Lena Horton of Belton, SC.

Patsy, known as the "Hat Lady", was born in Brunswick, GA. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and attended Shorten College in Rome, GA. Patsy loved to read, work crossword puzzles, playing tennis, working with her flowers and was a Master Bridge Player.

Other survivors include her son, Brombie and his wife Vicki Peterson and two grandchildren, Brom, V and Kayln, all of Jacksonville, FL; Her two sisters, Ann and her husband Cletus Hill of Clearwater, FL, and Jeanne Horton of Taylor, SC; one nephew, Justin and his wife Kasey Hill and one grand Nephew Austin Hill of Ft. Myers, FL; an Aunt and Uncle, Frank and Gwen Vance of Piedmont, SC and several Cousins.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 18th, at the Brown Funeral Home in Lecanto, FL. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Oak Hill United Church Cemetery Funds c/o Tom Stitt, 340 Dunkin Bridge Road, Pelzer, SC 29669 or Hospice of Citrus County, envelopes available at the funeral home.

Interment will be later at Oak Hill United Methodist Church in South Carolina.

Patsy and I were best friends at Lakeshore Jr High.  She was a good student and always ready to make you laugh.  I can see her now with her cute blond pixie hair cut & lots of petticoats  . We were all so boy crazy back then and loved to dance. Sorry to hear of her passing. My husbands family is from Rome, Ga and we lived in York, SC for the last 20 years Now in Sebastian, Fl.  Small World
