James Jim Harrison Wilk, Sr., age 68, of Macclenny, Florida. Jim was born in Jacksonville, Florida on September 17, 1945 to the late Edward Joseph Wilk and Mary McCleod Wilk. He has been a resident of Macclenny since 2005 after moving from Mandarin, FL. Jim and his brother, John, were the co-owners and operators of the family business, Wilk Forwarding Company, which their father founded. Jim enjoyed his career, spending time with his family, and going on many cruises, especially to Alaska and Hawaii. He loved trains and was an avid model railroader. He also collected books and railroad memorabilia. In his younger years, he was an adventurous rock climber, which took him to the University of Utah in the fall of 1964. There he studied to become a geologist. Jim is survived by his wife of 44 years, Jarah C. Wilk of Macclenny, FL; his son, James Jimmy Harrison Wilk, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL; his brother, John Joseph Wilk of Mandarin, FL; his sister-in-law Jayn C. Schollander (Wendell) of Winston-Salem, NC; his brother-in-law Dr. Jay Shell Cochran (Sara) of Hiawassee, GA; a nephew; and several nieces. A Celebration of Jim's Life will be held Saturday, January 18, from 2pm - 4pm at V. Todd Ferreira Funeral Services. The arrangements are under the care and direction of V.
