Mr. Marvin Monroe Myers 66, of Cope, died Thursday, January 17, 2013, at the Regional Medical Center.

A Memorial Service will be held 4 pm Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the Dukes-Harley Funeral Home Chapel.

Born in Jacksonville, Fl. on June 10, 1946, Mr. Myers was a son of the late Monroe S. and Neta Williams Myers. Mr. Myers was the widower of Mary Watson Myers. He was a retired sheet metal worker with the Sheet Metal Workers’ International Association Local Union # 435 out of Jacksonville, Fl. Following graduation from Lee High School he served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He also attended the Florida Community College of Jacksonville, Fl. Mr. Myers enjoyed spending time with friends playing golf at the Kountryside Klub of Cope and Paw Paw Golf Course in Bamberg, S.C.

Survivors are two sons, Matthew McKinley Myers and wife Pamela, and Michael Monroe Myers all of Jacksonville, Fl; and an aunt, Mrs. Annie Mae Bessinger of Cope, SC.
