Stan Stoudenmire, 74, born in Jacksonville FL and living in St. Petersburg FL, passed away December 20, 2020, after a well fought battle with cancer. He is preceded in death by his parents Houston & Beulah and brother Tommy. Stan moved to St. Pete from Jacksonville in 1964 to attend SPJC & USF and soon begin life guarding where he made lifelong friends who called themselves the Wild Gypsy Savages. He is survived by his wife Sarajane of 44 years his children Shane Wilson and Zachary, his friends and his beloved dachshund Bella Rosa. Stan was an environmental health expert for 35 years with the State of Florida, an Officer in the Army National Guard and attended Pasadena Community Church. As an avid outdoorsman he loved to grow veggies to share, camp, kayak, fish, play soccer, take a bike ride and volunteer at Tampa Bay Watch. On any given day you could find Stan protecting turtle nests, picking up fishing line to protect sea life and taking injured birds to the Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary. Sixty years of playing guitar brought him much joy as his love of bluegrass and jazz and was in a band call Bluegrass Southern Style. During his retirement not a minute was wasted, playing with the Gulfport Boomerangs, pickle ball and learning Tai Chi and a short stint with water aerobics and that was a sight.
