Comment: After Lee, I went to Florida State and majored in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. I taught first grade in Jacksonville and met my husband Kin (yes, that is the correct spelling, his name is Kinder) on a blind date. Except for a brief move to Orlando, we have lived in Jacksonville since we were married 46 years ago. Our favorite vacation spot is Blowing Rock N.C. and we schedule a full family gathering there every year. Time spent with family is precious. |

Busy Life Summary: Married 1964 - Calvin J. Caudill - Young sailor stationed at Mayport. He made a career of the Navy and retired in 1982. I worked in the medical field for 20 years and continued my education. In 2012 we celebrated 48 years of marriage and he passed away in August, 2013 after seven years of declining health caused by dementia. We have two children. Mike, age 51 a retired Memphis Policeman who now lives and works in Bentonville, Arkansas with his two younger children (14 & 11) Our daughter lives 10 min. away in Munford. She has five children and high school math at our local high school. Between the two children we have 10 grandchildren and 3 great grands. OH My!! After Calvin passed away I asked the Lord what he wanted me to do with the rest of my life and he put me to work on the mission field in South and Central America. (I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior in 1972) I love working with the beautiful South American people in Nicaragua, Bolivia, Hatti, and Costa Rica. What a life! I've really enjoyed reading all the bio's and staying up to date on the Facebook page. |

Wow really hard to fill in that many years! Synopsis, married high school sweetheart, Charlie Hart. Two kids now grown and married, have 3 grandkids. Divorced in 1990 and remarried 5 years later to Dan Clark, a retired marine. He died suddenly from a brain aneurism in 2010. That was tough. Luckily met a wonderful soulmate/best friend last year, Jerry Howell, and we have been together ever since. Career: was a dental hygienist until two babies then became a full time Mom. In 1983 went into graphics business with my sister starting in my garage. Went on to build our own building and have 26 employees. Retired in 2011 to get my life back together after some health issues and loss of my husband. My partner/Sister is still going strong with our company. Now: Play a lot of tennis. Spend time with my Mom and Grands when I can. Have a happy life, wonderful friends and an incredibly fun dog that is my baby. |

Let's see. I went to college, got drafted, started a landscaping business, then a desktop publishing business, as the term then was. Got married, had kids. Taught English and computer subjects. Ran a website. Retired. Pretty basic, really. Does anybody know anything about Mike Pugh? |

Cannot believe it has been 50 years since we graduated from Lee High School. So many things have taken place in our lives. Two things I always remember from back then were having a crush on Harmon Wages -all the way from elementary school- and the day that President John Kennedy was assassinated. All the other things just blend together. This aging process is something else - just happy to still be here. I went to South Georgia Junior College and then on to Florida State. That is where I met the love of my life Gene Coker. I recieved a degree as a School Social Worker and Gene finished FSU law school. He worked at AT&T and I was in different school systems depending on where he was assigned. We moved to Marietta, Georgia 35 years ago and that is when the professional aspects of my life changed. For those of you who remember my mother, Edna Stringer, a teacher at Lake Shore, you know she pushed me to challenge different careers as a woman. Thanks to her guidance and direction, I accomplished things I never thought I would achieve. About 35 years ago, I went to Georgia State University and got my Masters degree in Administration and Supervision. I thought I would be a good School Board Member and qualified for the election. I did not win, but opened the political aspect of my life and met the Cobb County Sheriff. He talked me into becoming a certified peace officer and one of his deputies. A few years later I ran for the Georgia House of Representatives, won and served 3 terms. In 1996 the Sheriff convinced me to return full time as his Chief Investigator. A few years later, he retired and the incoming Sheriff appointed me as his Chief Deputy Sheriff. In June, 2013, I decided it was "Gene Coker" time and I retired from the Cobb County Sheriff's Office. I have not figured out this technology stuff of posting the photos - so I was unable to achieve that goal. Gene and I are really looking forward to our 50th Reunion this October. We went to his 50th reunion in Lincoln Park, Michigan this summer. Now he can meet all of those outstanding Robert E. Lee High School graduates that have definitely been a fantastic part of my life. It will be great for me to interact with all of you too. |
