Comment: After graduating from Lee I went to South Georgia College. I joined the Army to to complete my military obligation and to earn the GI Bill so that I could continue school when I was discharged. I earned a BS degree in Psychology from Valdosta (GA) State University and then continued to earn a few more graduate degrees at VSU and at Georgia State University. I taught for three years - then became a Principal and move up the administrator ladder. I retired as a school system level administartor from the Valdosta City School System in 1997. I then went to work for a pharmaceutical company and I retired as the South Florida District Sales Manager in 2004. I failed miserably as a retiree. I went to the Martin County School District Office to see about being a substitute teacher. They offered me a teaching position instead. I am now teaching American History. I really enjoy teaching. Time flys by. I cannot believe this will be my tenth year teaching in Martin County. The 2014-15 school year will be my last - I think. ???? |

Comment:
After graduating from Lee, working and going to college at night, I finally decided what I wanted to be when I grew up and graduated from nursing school in 1972. I moved to Baltimore in 1976 to work at Johns Hopkins Hospital, got married, and my husband’s job took us to Cumberland, Md, Gainesville, Fl (where I became a mother at the ripe old age of 39!) and Columbus, Ga. After my divorce, I moved back to Jacksonville with my son. Andrew is 29 now and married to a lovely young woman, Christina. I’m hoping for grandchildren before senility sets in. I recently retired from Community Hospice. In my spare time I like to read, research my family tree (nothing scandalous found yet), cook for friends and travel-both internationally and to historic sites in the U.S. The 50th reunion was wonderful, a true celebration of who we were and are! I'm looking forward to the next event! |

Comment: After Lee I got an engineering degree from Georgia Tech, went to work for what is now Exxon in Baton Rouge and did my masters work at LSU. Spent a couple of years at the Arctic Circle managing construction of a section of the Alyeska pipeline and then returned to more mundane project and maintenance management duties in the lower 48. After Exxon, I bounced around the engineering and construction industry in project management and business development roles, met and married my wife of 31 years, and eventually took a position running a heavy industrial construction firm in Virginia. Retired in 2006. It was a great run.

Comment: I want to say hello to all my Lee High friends of 1964; I currently live in Lake City. Florida. I was married to my childhood sweetheart (Sonny Glover, class of 60) for 48 years before he passed this past April from pancreatic cancer. We have 4 married boys with 9 grandchildren. I have lived all over the state and moved 5 times in fifteen years since 1966, as my husband was promoted in rank while working for the Florida Game and Fish Commission, the last move as Captain was to Lake City where we have been since 1981. He retired after 34 years and I retired from the Columbia County School system shortly after. I now am pursuing my art career and have been painting in watercolor medium since being introduced to it in a painting class. I am a member of the Art League of North Florida, Live Oak Art Guild, Suwannee Valley Pleine Aire group, and the recently opened Gateway Art Gallery of Lake City. I believe that recognizing the beauty of God's work in nature is a testament of His hand in creation.Psalm 19:1 Happy to be alive and to have experienced most of my life with my best friend, husband, father of my sons, my daughters-in-laws, and nine beautiful grandchildren. Looking forward to new beginnings in Christ my Lord and Savior and to meeting old class friends and socializing with y'all. Sandra Osborne Glover
