After graduation from Lee, I attnded Georgia Tech for 2 1/2 years. I joined the U S Navy serving in the ship's company (Navigation Division) of the USS Saratoga CVA-60 for two years. Upon discharge from the Navy, I worked for a year as a land survey crew member. Finally I went to the University of Florida where I received my Bachelors and Masters degree in Civil Engineering. Since that time I have worked in Jacksonville for various consulting firms and government agencies until I retired in 2011. I have two grown sons, a daughter-in-law, a grandson, and a granddaughter. None of them live in Jacksonville. |

My husband graduated from the Naval Academy at the same time that I graduated from Lee. We were married eight months later and we are about to have our fifty year anniversary. We spent half of his career here at Cecil Field where he flew the S3A. After his retirement, we settled in Mandarin. We have two children and five grandchildren. |

After graduation from Lee, I attended Middle Georgia College, graduating in 1966. I graduated from Stetson University in 1968 with a degree in Elementary Education. I was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority. After teaching two years in Jacksonville, I decided to work on my Masters degree in Early Childhood Education at Florida State University, graduating in 1971. I returned to Jacksonville to teach and met my husband, Bill, on the only "blind" date I ever had!! We were married in 1972 and have lived in Jesup for 43 years. We have two children. Our daughter, Amy. attended Mercer University for three years and the University of Georgia for four years, graduating in 2003, with her Doctorate in Pharmacy. She is married and lives near the mountains of northeast Georgia. Our son, Bill, graduated from Mercer University in 2003, with a degree from the Engineering School. He lives and works in the Augusta area. I retired in 2006, after teaching 36 year (35 in Kindergarten), and Bill recently retired from his family business. Life has been good, living in a small town, and we have felt so blessed. Through the years, I have thought of so many of you in our graduating class, and from time to time have gotten our annuals from the book shelf and reminisced! I will not be able to attend our reunion in October, but will be thinking of you all! Update: Bill and I moved in June, 2016, to the Clarkesville area in northeast Georgia. Our new home is 13 miles from Helen and not that far from Hiwassee. Our children have wanted us to move for several years to be closer to them. It is beautiful up here, so different from flat south Georgia! We have enjoyed a more definite change in seasons, the pretty fall leaves and the hills and mountains. We have already enjoyed a weekend of snow a couple weeks ago! After we purchased our new home in 2015, we found out we were going to be grandparents for the first time! We did not move, however, until this past summer, just in time for the birth of Jane Elizabeth. Amy wanted to name her after my mother. We love Jane so much! Bill and I have the privilege of taking care of her when Amy, a pharmacist, goes to work several days a week. We feel so very blessed! "God is so good!" |

| Comment: Graduated from Furman University after Lee. Married to Mickey for 44 years, the most patient and fun person I've ever met. Two great kids and 4 grand children we are so proud of. Served 27 years in hospital administration in Florida and Texas and retired last year after serving for 15 years as administrator for a wonderful and needed ministry, the Florida Baptist Children's Homes. Look forward to seeing all in the coming weeks. | |

| Comment: I received my Bachelor's degree in Criminology at Florida State University. I worked with juvenile delinquents and their families for many years and retired as a Senior Human Services Program Specialist with the State of Florida, Department of Juvenile Justice. I then worked as a Pastor's Secretary for 3 years and as a paralegal for 5 years. I have a son and a daughter and each of them have 2 children so I have 3 grandsons and 1 granddaughter. I am very proud of all of them. My husband, LeRoy and I moved to Maryland in 2006 where our son and his family live. He has a Bachelor's in Business. Our daughter has a Masters from New Orleans Baptist Seminary where she met her husband who is now the Pastor of First Baptist Church, Hughes Springs, Texas. | |
