Suzanne Lanier

Marital status: Divorced
Children: 2
Occupation: Retired
Comment:  I attended Florida Presbyterian College, and then transferred to Emory University where I participated in chorale, music theater productions, women’s government, sorority life, and earned both my BA and MAT degrees.  There I learned so much about myself that I never knew!    After graduation, I taught school (1st grade, where I was finally taller than everyone else!)  in Atlanta and then in Augusta, GA where our first daughter was born.  We moved to Lexington, KY where our second daughter was born, then to Louisiana and then to Nashville.

I LOVE Nashville!  I have worked in advertising, floristry, sales, and consulting.  I served 14 years as a Human Resources Manager where I was charged with developing the entire HR department, all training, all materials and all policies/procedures, where none had previously existed.

Now retired, I volunteer at Faith Family Medical Clinic, a not-for-profit organization which provides medical care to employed persons who have no medical insurance.  I serve lunch at The Next Door, an intense and effective recovery program for women with addictions. Also, I do laundry at Room in the Inn, a non-profit providing comprehensive services to the homeless in Nashville.

I enjoy singing, flower arranging, gardening, reading, going to the Y, and I especially enjoy playing with my grandchildren!
