Comment: Where have the years gone? I married my highschool sweetheart Joe Lee, on January 31, 1965. We had 3 wonderful sons, who also graduated from Robert E. Lee High School. ( we couldn't break the tradition could we?) We have 4 grandsons and 2 granddaughters. They are amazing! I worked 35 years and retired from Pudential Insurance Company who then sold to Aetna Insurance Company. Im retired now and enjoy spending time at the cabins Joe and I built in east Tennessee. The cabins are located on English Mountain, which is 30 miles from Gatlinberg Tennessee. We rent them out year round. (www.SmokyMountainFalls.com). The cabins are listed under (Mountain Laurel Ridge). Joe and I are sad to say we will not be attending the reuniion as we had already made previous plans. But I know you all will have a tremendous time. The committee has really done a great job making all of this come together. Have Fun! |

Comment: Following my graduation from Lee, I married David Livaudais in August 1964. I worked as Secretary/Personal Assistant to the Chairman of the Board of a Jacksonville based bank until 1973 when we moved to Leesburg,FL with our two daughters, Julie and Dana. Leesburg gave me the opportunity to work part time for the City Attorney and later in the City Clerk's Office. In 1980 David accepted a promotion with a bank in Cape Canaveral and we moved to Cocoa Beach. We were there for 19 wonderful years during which I worked for Boeing Aerospace Operations. Both our daughters graduated from high school in Cocoa Beach and from FSU. Julie, our oldest, married a Tallahassee native and has two daughters of her own. In 1999 we moved to Tallahassee to be closer to our grandchildren (Dana was married with two girls also in Dallas at the time). David went to work for FDOT and I for a trade association representing community developers. After being blessed with 48 years of marriage, my husband David passed way in October 2012. My Texas daughter moved to Ponte Vedra this summer and it is great having all our girls (daughters and granddaughters) as well as the two best sons-in-law ever in Florida! Spending my retirement doing community volunteer work, participating in the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at FSU, reading and working on genealogy.

Comment: I retired from Bellsouth with over 34 years of service and am happily married to my husband for 43 years. We have been blessed with four beautiful children and have 7 grandkids. One of our sons is currently a priest at St. John Greek Orthodox church here in Jacksonville. Unfortunately I am unable to attend the class reunion as I am taking care of my husband who has cancer. I am hoping to make the next reunion. |

Occupation: | Retired Entomologist |
Comment: After graduation attended a small trade school specializing in forestry, Forest Ranger School in Lake City. After the one year program went to work for St. Regis Paper Co. cruising timber throughout the SE US. It was interesting but miserable work which fortunately ended when I was drafted in '65. Not a frying pan to the fire scenario because I wound up playing trombone in the 97th Army Band at Ft. Sill, OK. Great duty! Upon refrad went to Univ. of West Florida and received a BS in marine biology and went to work for the state as an entomologist, eventually becoming manager of the section that regulated state mosquito control programs. Divided my time about equally in the field and the office and really enjoyed my 38 year career. Retired in 2005.

After graduating from Queens College in Charlotte, NC, I taught high school English for 4 years and then was fortunate to be home with my children for the next 14 years. I went back into the classroom for 20 more years, retiring in 2013. My soulmate of 18 years and I now enjoy spending time with our 5 children and 15 grandchildren, boating, traveling in our motor home, biking, and kayaking. Looking forward to the reunion and catching up with high school friends..... |
